About the venue
Planet is a compact LGBTQ+ bar close to Picardy Place in central Edinburgh. It sits within easy walking distance of the city’s best-known queer nightlife venues and works well as part of a bar-to-bar evening.
The venue has a lively, informal character centred on drinks, music and socialising rather than a large-scale club setup. Its smaller footprint can make it feel more immediate and local than some of the bigger venues nearby.
For visitors exploring Edinburgh’s LGBTQ+ scene, Planet is easy to combine with CC Blooms, The Street and the wider Broughton area. As a nightlife bar, its event details and opening pattern are best checked close to the date of a visit.
