Venue guide
About the venue
Blayds Bar is an LGBTQ+ venue in Blayds Yard, just off Lower Briggate in the heart of Leeds’ Freedom Quarter. Its slightly tucked-away position gives it a more intimate feel than some of the larger venues nearby.
The bar has a strong entertainment and community character, with drag, karaoke, live performers and hosted nights forming part of the programme. It works well for people who want a sociable bar where the entertainment is close to the audience rather than a large club environment.
Because Blayds is surrounded by other queer venues, it is easy to include as one stop on a wider Leeds night out. Event details vary through the week, but the welcoming, performance-led identity remains central.
