About the venue
Via has been part of Canal Street since the mid-1990s and is one of the most recognisable venues in Manchester’s Gay Village. It works across several parts of a night out: a place for drinks earlier in the day, a social bar in the evening and an entertainment-led venue later on.
The programme commonly includes cabaret, drag and DJs, while the large Canal Street frontage puts Via right in the middle of the Village atmosphere. That makes it particularly accessible for first-time visitors who want to be close to several other LGBTQ+ venues without planning a complicated route.
