About the venue
The Den is an intimate event space beneath Viaduct Showbar on Lower Briggate in Leeds’ Freedom Quarter. It has an industrial aesthetic and is designed more as a flexible event room than as a conventional public bar with the same format every night.
The space can be used for private parties, creative showcases, performances and late-night events, with access to bar and sound facilities. Its connection with Viaduct places it directly inside Leeds’ main LGBTQ+ nightlife district.
Because The Den is event-led, visitors should check whether a public event is taking place rather than assuming it operates as a walk-in venue every evening. Its main value is as a flexible queer-friendly space within the wider Viaduct complex.
