About the venue
Viaduct Showbar is one of the best-known LGBTQ+ entertainment venues in Leeds, based on Lower Briggate in the city’s Freedom Quarter. Its identity is built around drag, cabaret and big-stage entertainment rather than simply operating as another bar.
The venue is particularly associated with fully choreographed drag productions, resident performers, visiting acts and DJ-led nights. That makes it a good choice for visitors who want a show as part of their night out, as well as for groups celebrating birthdays, Pride weekends and other occasions.
Viaduct is surrounded by several other queer venues, so it sits naturally within a wider night out around Lower Briggate. Its programme changes regularly and some performances are ticketed or table-led, making it sensible to check the current schedule when planning a visit.
