About the venue
R-Bar is an inclusive LGBTQ+ late-night bar on Marine Parade, close to Brighton’s seafront and the queer nightlife around Kemptown. It is part of the same venue family as Club Revenge but offers a more relaxed bar-led experience.
The venue is suited to drinks, socialising and smaller-scale entertainment before a later club night, while its seafront location makes it easy to combine with other venues around St James’s Street. R-Bar also has a strong community identity and regularly supports LGBTQ+ events and fundraising activity.
For visitors who want queer nightlife without going straight into a large nightclub, R-Bar is a useful starting point. Its connection with Revenge makes it particularly convenient for people planning to move on to dancing later in the evening.
