Venue guide
About the venue
The Queen’s Arms is a long-established gay bar in Brighton’s Kemptown area, recognisable for its bright, theatrical style and strong connection to the city’s drag and cabaret scene.
Entertainment is central to the venue, with performers and hosted nights giving it a more show-led feel than a conventional pub. The relatively intimate setting can make the experience feel close to the performers, which is part of the appeal for visitors looking for classic Brighton queer cabaret.
Its George Street location is within easy reach of St James’s Street and the seafront, so the Queen’s Arms fits naturally into a wider LGBTQ+ night out around Kemptown. The performance schedule varies, so checking the latest line-up is recommended.
